No doubt the biggest news this week for Devy has been the announcement of Kayshon Boutte declaring for the 2023 NFL draft after previously deciding he would go back to LSU for another season. All jokes aside about Jayden Daniels, this is great for our 2023 rookie class as we add another quality body to the WR pool. In addition, this boosts the stock of Malik Nabers from the 2024 class as he will have one less stud on the field to worry about eating into his workload.

Bowl games have been going on for the past couple of weeks during the holidays, but none more important than this Saturday when we witness the Fiesta Bowl pitting Michigan vs. TCU along with the Peach Bowl, which will be Ohio State vs. Georgia. The winner of these two games will go on to face each other for the national title on January 9th. My prediction for the final will be Michigan vs Ohio State, with the Buckeyes coming out on top in the end.

To wrap up the year, I want to leave you all with a preview of our 2023 Rookie ADP for December (Boutte will be back for January). Happy New Year to you all, may the best of your past be the worst of your future.

Lamar Jackson (knee) still remains out of practice, trending downward for week 17, unfortunately. Colt McCoy (concussion) has been cleared and is expected to start, boosting the Cardinals’ weapons. Jalen Hurts (shoulder) was limited in practice, reportedly participating in specific drills, but he is still unsure if he will wind up playing this week or not.

Austin Ekeler (knee) remains limited in practice but is expected to play, barring any coaching decisions to save him for playoffs. James Conner (illness) remains out of practice, but I would guess he would be able to return soon unless he’s dealing with a really bad illness. Alvin Kamara (quad/personal) has missed two practices so far, but Nick Underhill stated that a source indicated they aren’t concerned about AK’s status for this week and that he should play. Jamaal Williams (knee) has not been listed on the injury report, indicating that his knee injury from last week may not be an issue. Aaron Jones (knee/ankle) remains banged up, practicing in a limited capacity but expected to play, leaving AJ Dillon in a likely lead role. Rhamondre Stevenson (ankle) remains limited but should be okay to play. Miles Sanders (knee) returned to practice in a limited capacity, so keep an eye on his status. Antonio Gibson (knee/foot) remains out of practice and is reportedly dealing with an undisclosed strain, which seems like he will wind up missing this week.

Stefon Diggs (illness) missed practice, but I’d anticipate him being able to play. Denver’s entire receiving group is banged up, with Jerry Jeudy (ankle) limited, Courtland Sutton (hamstring) limited, and Kendall Hinton (hamstring) limited though all three are expected to play. Christian Watson (hip) remains out of practice and likely misses this week. Chris Olave (hamstring) returned to practice in a limited capacity, indicating he may be able to return to the field. AJ Brown (rest/knee) was limited in practice but seems like a veteran rest-type situation. Amari Cooper (rest/hip) practiced in a limited capacity and is expected to play. Deebo Samuel (knee/ankle) practiced limited on Thursday, but there still isn’t any indication if he will wind up playing yet.

Greg Dulcich (hamstring) remains out of practice, and I wouldn’t expect him to play this week. Hayden Hurst (calf) is on track to return this week, though it might be risky as a play in fantasy.

Mike and Adam will be back next week with some advice next week. Expect to see this off-season from 4:

  • Off Season dynasty strategy

  • 2023 rookie values

  • So much More

@FantasyGenes gives us his two matchups for week 17.

Let's get into the matchups for Championship Week!

Goff vs Bears

Goff and the Lions are fighting to get into the playoffs. Goff has been really good at home, averaging 23.1 fantasy pts, 277 pass yards, and 2 TDs. The Bears' defense has not been good, and specifically the last away game, they gave up 308 pass yards to the Jets. The Bears' defense in the last five weeks:

  • Given up the most fantasy pts per game to QBs (25)

  • 32nd total DVOA

  • 29th pass DVOA

  • 29th rush DVOA

  • If PrizePicks can give us 1.5 TDs for Goff, I am smashing that.

Barkley vs Colts

Barkley has been a steal for any fantasy owner that drafted him. He is 3rd in touches per game, and the NYG staff will continue to lean on him to get to the playoffs. The Colts' defense in the last five weeks:

  • Given up the most fantasy pts to rbs (36.9)

  • Given up the 4th most rush yards to rbs (131)

  • Allowed the most rush tds with 2 per game

@EricVanekNFL gives us his best lineup options in Week 17.

It’s the finals! Week 17! This is what we play for right here. Congratulations if you’ve made it this far, and if you have to, unfortunately, stream because of some injuries, hopefully, I can help you this week.

Going to look at the ECR from Fantasy Pros!

At QB this week, I’m going back to the well… I’m going to Mike F’N White against the Seahawks. The Jets' future star QB is back in there, it’s a must-win game for the Jets here on the road against the Hawks. The Seahawks' secondary hasn’t been great, and I think Mike White can get back in there and save this team again. I’m rolling White one more time.

At RB this week, I’m going to roll with Jamaal Williams. He hasn’t been great the last few weeks, but the Bears' run defense is BAD! Swift has been bad as well and banged up. I’m going to roll with Jamaal here. He’s gotten you to this point, fire him up let's go with him to start the playoffs.

At the WR spot, I’m going to WR43 Donovan Peoples-Jones against Washington. DPJ, without bad weather, has been pretty solid this year. I think we can see a few plays from him in this game this week with Watson. Do not mind starting DPJ at all this week.

At the TE spot, I’m going to go to the shoot-out game this week: the Bengals and Bills. Fire up some Dawson Knox. He has been really solid the last few weeks. I think in this game, Knox could get you upside on Monday night. I like playing guys on Monday night this week in the big time shoot out fire him up!

Good luck to everyone in the finals! Thanks for reading all year!
